This is about the fictional account of the on-going corruption in a country. It is set in an orwellian kingdom of animals. I was really drawn to the political/personal parts of the story. I found the plot gripping. My criticism lies in the suspension of disbelief. I was able to imagine the animals. Where things went amok was the use of factual figures and events. They don't play into the animal premise. This felt incomplete for me. If you are going to tell a story a certain way, it must be all inclusive. The strength of the writing and the fascinating plot were enough for me. I think this story would have been strong without the animal element. I give this one a 4.2/5.

3,2 of 5 stars!

Another retelling about Animal Farm by George Orwell that you can't missed for! Political satire about an dictator government vs liberal government indeed! :D

It is entirely possible that this book just doesn't work very well as an audiobook, but dear lord I did not enjoy this one and I am very disappointed.

SpoilerThe overuse of and CONSTANT repetitiveness of words and phrases, sometimes repeating the same word/phrase over and over again for what I image was at least a full page if not pages and lasted a full minute if not multiple was painfully distracting. The lengthy, frequent, monotonous lists were also difficult. It made it so hard to stay focused and to follow what was happening, it was almost painful to listen to.

Loved the animal integration of the story. Another one that really relied on my knowledge of Zimbabwean history. Still moving story even in the animal form
