This is my favorite Judy Moody book that we've read. :)

Who do I hate more: Junie B., or Judy Moody? At first it was Junie B., because at least Judy was clever in her making fun of math. But then we met her college tutor, whose use of airhead slang was more obnoxious than Judy's. I'm cool with girls reading this, but I can't stomach it.

My 8 year old and I read this one together. I have to say that I'm trying to use different methods to have her learn her multiplication facts and she won't use flash cards now because Judy called them babyish. Really?! Like we couldn't have brought it back around to have them actually help someone or have her change her attitude about them? I am frustrated that the book made such a big deal about them. And the kids all throwing the test at the end to get to go to college? Really? We've enjoyed all of the Judy books up to this one but we're going to take a break because I'm so irritated by the way school was portrayed. It didn't make sense that because Judy was being disrespectful to the sub, she got to go play with a college kid? None of it was cohesive and it really didn't show appropriate behavior for a 3rd grader. Who drops their kid off with a college student for the day anyway? No more Judy moody for us.

For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-CycleI grew up reading the Judy Moody books and as I read some of the later books for the first time as a adult, I still feel the same engagement as when I was younger. This one had such a unique storyline. It was fun to see Judy experience some aspects of college life and put her own spin on things. I also love the consistency of the writing and find each book just as good as the first. As with the other books, fun voice, great illustrations, and creative wordplay. An awesome (or "crucial" rather) read.At the end of the book are bonus features unique to this story including "Judy Moody's Not-Webster's New World College Dictionary" as well as features from Judy Moody's Way Wacky Uber Awesome Book of More Fun Stuff to Do such as ideas for redecorating your bedroom and glamming up your flip flops.Fun, entertaining read with a unique story that is pure Judy Moody.
