I freaking love this series. These graphic novels just keep getting better and better.

I really liked the mini chapters on The Morrigan, Baal, Woden, Lucifer, and Amaterasu and I hope they do more of these in the later volumes.

There is so much going on in this comic and I'm really enjoying how the story is unfolding.

Good action sequences and more teases of the central mystery kept me interested the entire time.  However, I found the character development to once again be the weakest element.

Unpopular opinion, but I really enjoyed the lifestyle magazine section of the book. It was a fun, unexpected twist. That is the reason for the high rating for me. The storyline is still a little confusing, and some characters are getting downright unbearable, but we will see how it continues to play out.

okay so i take back what i said about kieron gillen's impressive mimicry skills, apparently he actually got laurie penny (and leigh alexander and mary hk choi and a boatload of other people) to write articles for the magazine issue. idk how he knows so many literati but good for him i guess?

anyways, it was an interesting stylistic experiment but i wasn't actually all that into the issue. feels like that's my catchphrase for wicdiv at this point. mckelvie's art is gorgeous as always and it does feel like there's more emotional consistency to the characters this volume -- though i still don't understand why laura decided she wanted a brand new kind of awful personality after becoming persephone. she's sticking with it though!

also someone please tell me if the baal as kanye thing was this obvious in previous volumes because if it was i don't understand how i could have been so oblivious. HE QUOTES POWER AT ONE POINT

I love this series so much. When I saw that Laurie Penny was "interviewing" Woden in issue 23 I yelled.
