Much preferred this book to Evils Things. I feel like the series is back on track. Pleased to have the fairies and witches back involved in the plot again.

I don’t recommend this being the first book you read in the series. I’ve finished this, but feel so very confused. I missed a lot and I’m guessing it has to do with the previous books. The author tried to fill gaps, but it wasn’t enough. After reading this book….the ending was /awful/. It sounds like the witches/fairies MADE the stepmother evil. I just….this makes no sense. And I don’t even know that I want to go back and start the series at book 1 based on this one.

What a very unique retelling! I really enjoyed this story as it was a fresh take on the tale we all know. Lady Tremaine has been a character that has always intrigued me so it was cool to see her back story along with something new. I definitely want to check out other books in this series! The audiobook was also very easy to listen along to!
