CRAZY things are going on.

The story has been picking up and now it’s absolutely got my full attention!

I’m not sure if I would go so far as to say that I am enjoying Revival, but I am finding it interesting. There are certain subplots that I’m reserving judgement on until the end to see if it all comes together, but overall, it is still an incredibly compelling premise. I feel like a broken record repeating my grievances about the series, but the lens through which women are depicted has not improved. At this point in the story there are more questions than answers, but I’m looking forward to seeing how things all come together.

This is one of those volumes that really set me back. I was so disappointed in what I read. There was very little that kept my attention, parts of it bringing back a lot of the confusion from previous issues. It wasn't all bad, there were parts that still added some kind of clarity... some kind. Because, when it felt like something was about to get resolved, another issue arose to confuse the reader even more.

Sometimes, that can be a good thing. At other times, like in this issue, it can be all kinds of nerve wrecking feels. I'm really hoping it's going to be loads better in the next volume because as of right now this seems to just be dragging on with all the added info and characters. This time around, it wasn't a good combination, at all.

Again, about a 4.5. I'm caring less and less about the Cooper/Dana arch, so I hope it's actually solved and a new problem won't arise.

New, imperfect, very cool characters are introduced to the series. The scope also opens up for us to see the effect of the revival phenomenon outside of the town of Rothschild. The creators had many opportunities to mess up the middle act, but they made it super engaging instead.
