Last year, I read Laura's journal of these same events, so there weren't any big surprises here - but it was fun to see everything through Rose's eyes.

What a great sequel on the "Little house series". A great solid story line and it makes reading this that you become a little kid again. Easy and fun read.

A fascinating story about immigration in the US at the turn of the 20th century.

Have the complete series sitting on my shelf but haven't read these since my teen years--started to lose track of all the authors doing series not just on Laura's daughter but also on her mother, grandmother, maybe even further back? Quite a franchise!

A worthy follow up to “Little House On The Prairie”

A sweet continuation of Laura’s story from her daughter’s POV. It keeps with the time and has horrible references of Native Americans but it’s balanced by the use of asbestos.

I dont know how to review any of the little house books... I was in love with them as a kid but recently tried to read some from the original series and realized they're big-time racist. I dont remember if this series was better or not, but I know it helped me fall in love with history.
