I had long forgotten about this book until I recently found it on a shelf in a group shop. I'm always on the lookout for the books that used to be on my childhood shelves, or at least the right vintage. I remember reading this a lot because of the magic tricks. The series involves Kate and Max solving mysteries with the help of magic, which are all explained at the back of the book. This one involved a little bit of romance between our leads, if I remember correctly. I probably should have bought the book.
