This story stands the test of time. The themes of poverty, capitalism, wealth, and the disassociation present when those at the top are so removed from the reality and humanity of others is still well ahead of its time. In a world where these themes are even more pervasive and present , I am so incredibly floored by the incisive socio-political and historical analysis of this story, and the characters are achingly fleshed out.
