The fun shopping trip really saved this volume. It was super cute. The rest was just meh though.

I'm still fond of this series but this volume wasn't my favourite. The concept of the underground tennis competition is hilarious but I thought it was a bit much to
Spoilershow the cheating players as they are taking intravenous drugs, and to have the someone in the crowd yell out KYS to some losing players

Nightfall/Fiona gets to put her skills to the test during a wish fulfillment mission with Twilight and, while she is no match for Yor, her obsessive personality is enough to drive a wedge into Yor's heart anyway. Loid's rocky attempt to diagnose and resolve this situation shows us that, despite his extensive training, Yor still manages to catch him off guard.

On the one hand, Fiona's close observation of the developing relationship between Loid and Yor is a valuable insight for the reader about how Loid is truly feeling at this point in the mission. On the other hand, she brings an uncomfortable and frustrating element to the "love triangle" trope that feels both unnecessary and annoying. She is painfully obvious about her ulterior motives and it feels like at any minute she could snap and fall into yandere territory. This may not be every reader's cup of tea.

The second half of volume 6 focuses more on Anya's relationships with Becky and Damian as she tries very hard to get closer to them for the sake of world peace and an easier school life. She may have scored high points with Becky, but her attempts to relate to Damian's feelings about his father seem to be hit or miss. And yet, is it just her imagination that Damian is showing slightly less resistance to her presence?

This volume of SpyxFamily is a little bit less exciting than some of the other volumes because a solid section of it focuses on one of Twilight's missions and the other spy that has a crush on him. I find that character the least exciting character that we've met so far and her storyline is one that I always want to skip. The second half of the volume does pick back up and the volume ends with a huge moment. I can't wait to see what happens in the next volume.

Oh my god, the tennis match was hilarious. I was so entertained by everything that happened in those few issues. I felt like we got a good mix of storylines in this one, from Twilight's spy missions to things happening at the school. Now I'm sad I'm caught up to the publication because I have to wait for the next one!

This volume is quite good. We get more insight into Fiona/Nightfall. The character interactions are all spot on. The plots are quite amusing. My major issue with this volume is that a good chunk of it feels like filler. I felt like Yor/Thorn Princess & Anya were barely in this volume until the back half. Where they are used it feels incredibly appropriate and interesting. That’s not to say Fiona/Nightfall isn’t an interesting character with her history with Loid/Twilight. Loid’s interactions with her are entertaining too, Enzo could of done more with the potential rival trope. I’m probably being generous with giving this volume 4 stars but that’s fine. The plot progresses a good amount in this volume but some of the action comedy bombast of the first 5 volumes is neutered or missing here.
