Okay, um, WTF?
I'm all confused on what just happened. The ending just went *woosh* and I, um, what?

Just as good as I remember. So much politics, strategy, bloodshed, and turmoil.

Im glad i got to reread this as i totally forgot how clever the 75th hunger games design was and how the twisted ending happened. Part 1 and 2 are slower than Part 3 and often overlooked but i also appreciate the ptsd the characters go through and that we see how other victors handle the aftermath of their games. We also see Katniss grow as a person from someone trying to keep her loved ones alive to someone that wants to keep her people alive. And we only go up from there.

This book has everything I was looking for in the first one. All of the political maneuvering and rebellion that I complained about not being in the first book in my last review (with spoliers!) is finally starting to show up. Now if only DCPL would finally get around to my name on the hold list for book 3...
