I think Catching Fire is easily the best book in the trilogy. Not only is the character development top tier, but it also had me in tears multiple times. I know that after that ending, I am in for a world of pain when I reach my reread of Mockingjay. But do I care? No. I will love every heart-wrenching second of it.

it does get a bit slow when in district 12, but everything else completely make up for it, and the development of katniss and peeta’s relationship is something to completely adore about this book. such a cool concept about the arena, and the ending will forever be one of the best plot twists.

It was a well written book, I liked it and thought it was a strong continuation of the Hunger Games series.
