A little too young-adult for my preference (high school relationship), good love story though, prefer a little more spice. A quick read and enjoyable still.

Be ready for an emotional ride. This is a classic CoHo story plot. To give it some thought I think this book was okay. I started reading this book expecting an angsty teenager daughter with an overly dramatic mother but it's more than I expected. It's a very interesting plot of a mother and daughter's journey to understanding each other but wait, the catch is, there's a lot of drama on the way there. This book will leave you broken but satisfied by the end of it. I guess after reading It Ends With Us, I think the level of how emotionally wrecked you will be after this book is totally understandable. That being said, the plot deserves some criticism with some of the disturbing scenes. I understand the s3x part but substance use? Uhmm that's a big No for me. I think this deserve a Trigger warning. I think the major problem for me with how the plot goes is the inconsistencies of the mother's actions and the daughter's actions in return. I was half way through the book and what I read is just a series of mistake by mistake by mistake brought due to the lack of communications between each character, it becomes unrealistic in the process. To sum it all up, this book deserves it's fair share of praise and criticism. The story deserves its praise but character choices is just a big No for me. If you are up to be emotionally exhausted, just ready yourself. I would recommend if you love CoHo books.

Clara and Morgan frustrated me through 85% of this book. I HATED THEM!

But Colleen did a great job wrapping up the books, 3.5 stars!
