The story and universe are good, but the way in which they're conveyed is very confusing, and the author could have pulled back on the worldvuilding overload, which is constant through the book

It's been nearly two years since my last read, and I just finished it again, and *holy shit*. 

I forgot all about the ending, I knew it was bad, and knew shit hit the fan (esp since I still had 100 pages to go and somehow things were kinda 'okay') 

I can't wait to continue to read this as the group read. I'll be starting book 2 next month.
