The Cross is a short story that is a prequel to another prequel called The Cycle in the Parliament House Books series.
The Cross is set at a time when there was a lot of tension between Scottish football fans. It is based around the real life tragedy in 1971 at the Ibrox Park Stadium.
You can certainly feel the tension and frenzy that seemed to consume people that day. Even though I found the story quite interesting, you don't really get to know any of the characters as yet, so am looking forward to seeing where the story goes next in The Cycle.
