This was perhaps the craziest book I've read by Chisto, but I mean this in a good way. Vincent is an easy character to root for. Alyssa is probably my favorite character. A six-year-old girl who quickly learns how to defend herself is a character I can root for. Armageddon is quite the read in a post-apocalyptic world where vampires can sustain themselves by eating each other.

The catch is there is no food to speak of other than cannibalism. Vincent bumps into other humans who will either help him or try to eat him. I found myself turning the pages when someone new was introduced. I was waiting for them to turn on him and try to eat him, haha. This is a story that gives a unique angle to the classic vampire trope.

I must confess I'm not the biggest fan of vampires, but since Chisto wrote it I might as well give it a try. I'm happy to report that I was not disappointed. It's a long read but one I'm glad I stood with!
