Expected it to be a comic but it wasn't - not really. Nevertheless, a pretty enjoyable read.

As an adaptation of the second season finale, it's okay, but it loses something in the translation. Being different mediums, the show doesn't translate that well to book format, especially as a direct translation. But a lot of the magic that is "Adventure Time" isn't captured in this book due to the shows frenetic pace and visual style which can't be directly captured on the page. The book format would probably work better with original material rather than adapting an already made television show. It's okay, but really only for diehard "Adventure Time" fans.
