Another amazing edition to this series. I love seeing Lila change and evolve in this series. Whereas the last book focused a little more on personal character development, this time she’s definitely grown as an investigator. I also loved seeing how the Brew-Ha Cafe crew has developed! Sure, there were some hard to read scenes (such as Ronnie and Tita Rosie), but they were written well with clear intentions towards plot and character development. Plus, I felt like this book had just the right amount of winter holiday elements!

this is the third book in the tita rosie’s kitchen mystery series.

lila’s cousin ronnie is back in town after fifteen years away, and trouble returns not long after him. soon enough, ronnie is accused of murder following a death at his new winery, and rumors about him and his friends begin to bubble up. but lila, despite her negative feelings toward ronnie, is sure her cousin isn’t actually capable of murder…at least, she hopes so.

this book takes place during christmas time and that detail made this book even more fun.

it was also interesting to see how ronnie fit into the family dynamic, which is something that’s a big part of this series. i liked seeing lila’s mixed feelings toward her cousin and the interactions with ronnie we got from lila’s family.

while i love lila and am sad to see her go, i’m hoping this poor girl can finally catch a break!
