Lots of text and many photos. I had no idea Peter Pennoyer put this book together. I have one of his other books and adore that one also.
There are many gorgeous photos in this book. Black and white and color. The architects Cross & Cross really had their hand all over the northeast. Besides buildings in NYC, they did, and show, beautiful country homes in NY, NJ & even Vermont. Ones that look like you'd see in an old movie, with many built-ins.
They also built many commercial buildings, and I love the photos of the old bank. They use and show such elaborate details. Romanesque, Greek, art deco, bas relief, etc...This book is truly a work of art, just like the buildings Cross & Cross designed. I had no idea that the buildings I recognize were done by them. A keeper of a book!
