I still hate Bill.

I don't understand why these two storylines were combined into one book. The Dallas storyline was interesting, though super dark. The Lafayette storyline felt super underdeveloped and like it was just an  excuse to write about the sex party. I wish the author had just focused on the Dallas storyline.

The Sookie Stackhouse-novels are not literary masterpieces, but there's something that make them a fun read.

The plot of the novel deals basically with three different things: Sookie's coworker is murdered, a maenad makes an appearance demanding tribute and Eric loans Sookie to the Dallas vampires. These three plot pieces are a lot, and they could have been at least two different novels. There's a lot to unpack there.

These novels are meant as light and sexy romp with a touch of darker elements. The light elements are fine, the sexy bits could be a bit more sexy and the darker elements could do with a bit of reflection.

Unfortunately it shows a bit that these books were written by a straight white woman, but I'm not an expert.

Questo libro è noioso. Estremamente noioso.
