I quite enjoyed this story of Vale & Lilith’s. I found them intriguing in the original series and this was a fun dive into how she became what she became and see under Vale’s hard exterior.

This Novella was a great detour from the main series.

I read it out of order and read the novella last (it is supposed to be between book 1 and 2 of the Crowns of Nyaxia).

However, I still enjoyed it! It brought the side-characters to life and gave a sneak peek to another part of the world.

I enjoyed the romance, the spice, the story! Loved it!

“You want more than I can give you,” I whispered.
“I can’t imagine that ever being true,” he murmured. “Because I want only you, Lilith. Whatever of you I can have. I’ll take one night. One hour. One minute. Whatever you want to give me. I’ll have it.”

This was an enormously fun read. As a novella I think it’s a very strong book and it’s definitely a good addition to the series. The writing was so incredibly enjoyable and reminded me again why I fell in love with the Serpent and the Wings of Night. I immediately pick up the next book in the series to continue with the main story. So excited!

Loved this book. I've read serpents and the wings of night before this, so it spoiled it a little. But this is such a deep story within 164 pages. It had tension, love and most importantly it had character development.

I very much enjoyed this novella. I related a lot to the main character Lilith and enjoyed the romance that blossomed. I have read the other two books in this series first and was happy to have a backstory to Lilith and Vale.
