I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. Some parts made me very uncomfortable and others had be completely encapsulated. I just couldn't put the book down! Expect lots of gross scenes and very dark undertones as you dwelve into the mind of a woman obsessed with vultures.

A macabre and agonizing story of a never-ending hunger. I think Tantlinger's writing here is best described as festering. It is absolutely dripping with exquisitely putrid details of horror that makes you crawls under your skin and make you squirm. Although I really enjoyed her writing, I didn't find the overall book compelling. It is still a fun piece of horror and worth the read especially if you're interested in obscure and gore-y horror.

oh my god. feminine wrath & rage in the most disgusting way. i loved it. it made me too sick to eat my lunch, but it was worth it. i love the language, the metaphors, the dialogue, everything. perfection.
