Such a good book! Loved it from the start. Loved the couple. They were perfect for each other, and you will be rooting for them from the beginning. He's a thoughtful and hot newly single dad. She's the hardworking and generous babysitter. They both have guilt over something out of their control. There are some laughs. Lots of sweet sentiments. Some heart breaking events. Plenty of 'oohing' and 'ahhing' moments... there is a baby involved after all. ;) It gives off the bad boy vibe, but really, he's just a Harley riding tattoo covered softy. Though he does have some rough edges. She's running from her past, trying to re-invent herself and get a fresh start. I really like that neither one didn't anything mean or jerk-like towards the other. Throughout the entire book, they were always doing things for the other person. While there is the inevitable 'break-up' scene, it wasn't because either wanted it. Makes for a great 'make-up.' Of course there is enough steamy sexy time going on throughout the book, making this a book for mature readers. All the characters are well evolved and the entire book is well written, and hard to put down. It is a longer read than your average romance, but well worth the extra time it takes to read. While this is a complete stand alone, there is mention of some characters from Finding Dandelion.

I love Kat and Brady so much, both as individuals and as a couple. Like, I don't think I have a dream guy, but Brady can be it. Tattooed, artistic, responsible, good with kids, thoughtful—swoon. Kat is someone I would love to be friends with in real life. She's dependable, smart, and goofy. I like the nuances about her being traditional but also progressive, and she owns it.

I only felt like the ending was rushed, when the story was moving slowly.
SpoilerThough I was a bit frustrated with Kat with the way she abruptly left, I also understood where she was coming from. Brady never really voiced out his wishes, and he made it seem like the decision was in Kat's hands. The lack of proper communication between them about selling the farm and the status of their relationship must have pushed Kat to her boiling point.

Great small town single dad romance. Shameless was inspiring! I felt shameless reading it actually… lol.

What did I like? The characters were so great and the situation was heart rending. Despite a hard start these two were just a formidable pair. I really enjoyed the book and didn’t want to put it down! Five stars for a great read!

I love the emotion, the hero and heroine, and pretty much everything about this book. I wanted them to talk at the 3rd act break up. 4.5 stars.

So, this was my first Lex Martin book and let me just say - I am impressed! I didn't know a thing about the storyline, so I went in blind, and it was such a delightful ride.

First of all, this book begins with great loss. I instantly connected with Brady, and of course I instantly found him attractive - HELLO tattoos! But what I didn't expect was for him to have such a soft and caring personality underneath all that ink. I loved discovering more of him each page.

Kat was so fun - that's the best way to describe her. She was spunky and cute and she definitely doesn't take sh*t, which makes her my favorite type of heroine. I loved how she and Brady challenged each other and even more how they grew together.

What made this book even more amazing to me was Izzy - what she brought out in both characters and how she helped mend them, too. Her plus all the little critters on the farm and a big tattooed Brady figuring it all out? YES! Swoonsville, USA guys.

Lex did and incredible job writing a diverse heroine and a unique story I had never heard before. I was smiling and laughing every chapter and I'm not ashamed to say I even teared up a few times. All I can say is that I really enjoyed this read and I highly recommend it. 5 stars!
