I thought The Time Machine was a very nice wrap-up to the series. I went into these a bit blind, so I was surprised that even though Jenna Coleman was doing the reading, Clara didn't feature as a character. In fact, this story takes place post-God Complex and pre-Angels in Manhattan, it seems.
I liked that the plot did not rely on all the little notes the Doctor left his past selves, and that this all came at the end. I thought Jenna Coleman did a fine job, overall. It's true that her interpretation of Matt Smith wasn't SPOT on, but that's more of a bonus than a necessity, to me, when it happens. I enjoyed her narration, and I like the life she gave to temporary companion Alice Watson. Also, if you're going to have someone read a breezy quick-paced summary of why the Doctor has been seeding these messages all along, I'd say she's a good one for it.
The main aliens felt a bit generic to me. I guess on one hand it's nice to have an easy visual you can place to the aliens without a lot of description, but it might have been neat if they had some feature to them that made them a bit unique.
For the series as a whole, I've been very pleased with it. I think it was a fun effort for the 50th, and I think all the writers did a good job overall. There were some stories I liked better than others, but I certainly didn't dislike any of them. And, I'd definitely welcome more audio stories in this vain for 9, 10 and 11!

Nothing much to say about this. I will not be making a review. Didn't enjoy that much. Only to anyone who wants to read everything from the first three doctors....

Finally done with Destiny of the Doctor. Nothing special but entertaining, really, expanded media is for hardcore fans and I am one of those suckers. One question with this one, though. Why have Jenna Coleman read the audio when Clara doesn't appear in the audio?
