This was truly on the WORST books I have ever read. The characters were insufferable. It reads like Wattpad fanfic. The one sexual scene was not sexy and left me feeling gross. All I got from this book was that it’s okay to wait around for someone even if you basically give up your life and they aren’t speaking to you! Stop giving young girls (this is technically YA) these ideas. Young women should not be taught to wait around for years on a man and give up their lives. This book should be taken off YA shelves. Just because you say she shouldn’t wait around for him doesn’t make the fact that she did any better?

By far the most underwhelming book I've read from CoHo. I wanted to love it, but I just did not connect with the characters. Personally, I felt uncomfortable about Beyah and Samson's relationship. I can't be the only one who thinks the plot twist made Samson incredibly creepy, right?

I cannot even explain how much I loved this book, the plot, the characters, the romance, everything.
Ignoring Beyah’s mum (because she ain’t shit), I loved Beyah’s family so much. Even though her dad was absent from most of her life, I think he really did love Beyah and he definitely tried his best to make it up to her. Alana was an angel too which was unexpected for a stepmother, and Sara is an absolute baddie and deserves the world.
I loved Beyah’s character and I really sympathised with her. Her and Samson’s love story is one of my favourites from Colleen’s books and I really think they’re a great match. I’m so happy that they ended up together.
I sobbed so much throughout this book but it also had me laughing and smiling at parts.
This was an absolute slay Colleen x

Like all the other Colleen Hoover books this one did not disappoint and was filled with tragedy and love. I had forgotten how dark these books could be and the stories of Beyah and Samson have is really heartbreaking and makes me so sad. Yet it was beaitiful to see them falling in love and even more so when the truth is revealed of who Samson really is. I loved Sara as she was so selfless and was so trusting to a complete stranger. It was heartwarming to see the father daughter relationship grow even more so when Beyah finally revealed the truth about her mum. I loved the ending and even though this had dark themes to it I found it an enjoyable read.

Colleen Hoover is really good at writing books that are easy to understand that you can move through very quickly. After reading It Ends With Us, I gave Heart Bones and shot and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The plot felt random, the pacing was kind of off and the dialogue felt awkward along with the inner monologue at times. I also didn't enjoy the behavior that’s excused and almost romanticized in the love interest but that seems to be a common theme in Colleen Hoover’s books.
