I actually really liked this installment and getting to know Seyah better. I didn't think I would because I hadn't really connected to her before, but I really, really enjoyed it. The story continued, (to go to the city or don't go to the city?), Romance, comedy, everything you would expect in these books by now. I highly recommend it. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

It was another fast read. What troubles me though is that I have no idea where the story is going. It feels like every episode is a transition episode, but to what? The end of the ninth episode was promising, but they don't reach it in this episode. I understand that the season has 15 episodes, but we are already at two-thirds of the story and know nothing...

Not that it wasn't nice to see some background of Seyah. I think she's one of the more interesting characters in the story.

Hope there will start being some answers soon!

Buckle up, kids, because we are all aboard the FEELS train with Mirror of Fate. In a world of doom and gloom, Gwenda explores what's going on with Seyah and brings an unexpected relationship to the forefront...And here at Ravenous Reader, we bought the tickets to the front of the train!

The kiss. The kiss she knew she'd obsess over instead of going to sleep.

I had the chance to meet Gwenda at YallFest and SQUEE over ReMade, which she replied, "What about that kissing scene? eh? eh?" with a little eyebrow wiggle. Indeed. I was on a plane when I read it and had to contain my fist pumping (sorry, nice man next to me).

These are the lives we have left. It's time to live, not just run.

Baths. The teens find some hot springs and FINALLY get to take a bath. Following up on the last episode, they do not yet make it to the twinkly lights - city - they saw previously. We still have 5 episodes left for them to figure out what the story is there.

I appreciate Gwenda exploring cultures, white privilege, and generally confronting bias in the span of 29 pages.

Thank you to Serial Box for providing me with a free copy of the book through NetGalley.
In this episode, Seyah and Holden find a new temporary shelter. As a team they have to decide whether they will go to the city they discovered, because of May and Gabe in the previous episode. Nothing exciting happens in the episode, but for some reason I enjoyed it more than the previous ones. Must be the writer or the themes addressed. We learn Seyah's life as a biracial girl who aspired to be in Broadway. Of course everything changed for her as much as it changed for others. She and Holden had a proper talk since the accident and the awkwardness between them may lie in the past for now. I liked the tension between Inez and Seyah. I hope they do end up together, because they seemed happy even for a moment. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but I LOVE the diversity in this series! Also, 5 more episodes left and I have no idea how this will conclude!
