Beautiful, lovely, and exactly what I want in a romance with a dash of magical realism. I loved Clementine and Iwan’s story.

This was a fantastic read. It was a great love story of two people trying to figure out what they want while their life is changing. The time travel was a fun twist that allowed for the exploration of personal development and how people can change and stay the same as they grow.

Death of a loved one was central to this book. Please be cautious if discussions of suicide are triggering for you.

still have tears in my eyes as i write this! it took me by surprise how much i loved this book. it’s a story about finding each other and leaving and coming back together; a story about finding yourself. i love the “invisible string” vibe it has. i loved how the author described what it’s like to be in love, and how loving someone means loving every version of them. it made me think of olivia so much.

clementine and iwan had such excellent chemistry. the magical realism/time travel bit was well executed and soooooo heart wrenching and heart melting at the same time. gosh i loved this

Imagine you inherit an apartment. After a particularly tough day, you go home, curl up on the couch, and fall asleep. You wake up, and there is a very good looking man also living in said apartment…but that isn’t the weirdest part of this story. The apartment randomly sends you back to seven years ago, when you are “at a crossroads.” You don’t get to pick when, or for how long you stay. You also can’t tell this good looking new roommate you are from the future, because that would obviously mess up something in the space time continuum…nor can you tell your friends why you haven’t responded to ANYTHING because they will definitely think you’ve lost it.

Ashley Poston beautifully crafts a story about finding yourself, carving a new path (even if it’s different from what you’ve worked for), love, and grief. And she somehow does it in a way that just flows across the pages, leaving you so caught up in the story you don’t realize you’ve spent hours in this cozy apartment jn NYC. Despite feeling this was a bit outlandish in the beginning, I was hooked and tore through it. The book has a way of helping you feel the raw emotion of the grief and loss, while also finding beauty, love, and warmth. I was cheering for these two in so many ways, and loved seeing how they connected in the past and present. Once again, her author’s note is worth the read!

the past can teach us many things, but we shouldn't live in it (in this case, literally). this book was such a treat. everything, from the romance to the theme, is beautiful.

i just wish she told drew and fiona the truth eventually. it could've been mentioned in the epilogue, at least.
