I read this in one sitting. I actually enjoyed it. It had Cinderella vibes which I loved. But I didn’t understand how the FMC was the way she was.

I’m surprised by the reviews as I thought it was interesting. It was a bit cringey in some places but they were far and in between.

I’m looking forward to reading the other stories in this

Wow, this book was really not good. The author made the female so insecure and made the male really unlikable. I’m disappointed because it had people of color but the female was so so insecure about everything, it had the typical I have glasses, and I’m not pretty at all. Until you’re in the middle of the book she finally stops saying she’s not as pretty as her sister. I didn’t like the male because he was comparing his old love and his new wife all the time, and then realized oh I never liked my old love and now I really like my wife that I was really rude to. They were both super toxic. Did not like.  Btw, the two people the male liked were sisters, the oldest is the prettiest and is “presentable” in society while the youngest is the ugly one that no one likes. This book like a temu brand of The Wrong Bride by Catherine Maura. I bet the author has made some really good books but this one was not sadly. The dad is terrible. There is some tigger warning.

This was definitely a rage inducer. I don’t think that the author understood that what the h was doing, was literally being a doormat. Yes, she did things to try to circumvent situations, but she still ended up doing situations.

When you have H coming in and making everything a little bit worse, and realising the truth. His mentality in the first of the book was just making you want to hit upside his head with how he was treating another human being.

I will also say that even though we understood the family dynamic, I still don’t like any of her family, no matter how we also try to redeem them in the end.

My opinion:
Until the ending this was a 4☆ book easy, not because it is the best but because it made me feel. And I don't remenber the last time I read something and I felt it.

I hurted for Esme
