Did you read the first two books in the series and like it?
Then you're probably going to like this one.

The fake relationship trope is getting a little thinner which each book but that's okay for me because I knew what I was getting into. I'm not expecting these to be super deep. I AM expecting to be entertained and I am an absolute slut for seeing repeat characters from earlier books making appearances.

Ollie and Lennon were super sweet, and I loved the hot nerd and jock trope! My only gripe was wishing Ollie got his act together sooner and just when he did, Lennon started up with his issues. Definitely the most frustrating in the series so far, lol!

Fake Dating is one of my all-time favorite tropes and Fake Out (the first in this series) was one of my first introductions to it. So you can say that I have a special connection to Eden Finley's books because of that.

In this book, we spend our time getting to know Ollie & Lennon...

Ollie is a hockey star who is completely in the closet, but when he meets a cute guy in the bathroom, he comes out and accepts his offer to fake date him so that his family will get off of his back. They seem to think that the answer to all of his problems is to come out, but they don’t understand the career altering repercussions that can have. And he’s already lost his long term boyfriend from refusing to do it, so why can’t they understand?

Lennon (or Clark as he’s known by Ollie & his family) went into a bathroom and came out an NHL players boyfriend. If only they knew that he’s a sports reporter. Albeit, one who works on football and baseball articles, but still. But after that night, they go their seperate ways, not even exchanging phone numbers, never to be seen again……

That is until 6 months later when they run into eachother…

Lennon spent his time watching his old games and might have written an article (or 3) about him. One that said that the only way for him to truly get the fame and recognition he deserved would be to be traded. And Ollie HATES Lennon for it. But Clark isn’t Lennon. And when he find out.
