I found this to be too rushed, and you don't get to spend much time with the characters before the story takes off on the typical Earth-is-in-danger cliché. The humor didn't really land for the most part, and the scenes that should have had a strong emotional impact fail to deliver, again, mostly because everything is rushed and there is very little character development.

Super fun intro to the Guardians protecting Earth following some shady moves by J’Son and Spartax, with the added bonus of Tony Stark fighting on their side.

Don't feel like the addition of Iron Man added any value to the story. My favorite part was actually the simple origin stories of the Guardians at the end of the book.

Knowing just about nothing when it comes to the Guardians of the Galaxy, I was scared I would walk out of this volume totally confused or let down. While there is only 1 origin story (kind of), I understood right away what was happening and felt intrigued to know more about why Star-Lord's father is trying to pull some kind of Game of Thrones crap.

I don't really know much about Thanos, but I do know he is the next big bad for the Avengers 2 flick. I wonder if Guardians of the Galaxy will have some crossover with Avengers 2... seeing as one of these Guardians is apparently related to the guy, and maybe one of them kills him. Hard to say, since they speak of Thanos like he is both alive and dead.

Look forward to more!

-.5 star because Star-Lord looks kind of silly... Its just his hair, it bothers me a TON.

This was my first time reading anything about 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and I liked it but was kinda confused by the timeline of the story.

Always fun with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

FYI: you're and your are completely different. How did nobody pick this up at any stage of production.
