Not enjoying this as much as Kings of Quarantine. So I'm really liking the reappearance of characters from that series.

As the series progresses more information is give our way and the plot begins to thicken. The tension between all the characters is tough, because I just want them to all be happy already.. The end of Carnival Hill was BRUTAL. Let me tell you.

Maverick is still my favorite.. despite him being such an asshole. Fox is still pissing me off. Chase BROKE my heart. And JJ is still my baby.

Rogue, ugh, I don't even know where to go with her. But the ache I feel for her is constant.

And if you're still here,
SpoilerSOMEONE KILL SHAWN... pls for the love of all be all!!

I can't wait to jump into the next book.. I literally have no idea where this is going to go.

I cried so many times in this book! And the end just pissed me off! That’s the twisted sisters for ya!

So I am honestly not sure how I am doing after that ending. I thought the ending that Dead Man’s Isle was bad, I am definitely more upset by this one. I need to know what happens next!

This book will make you laugh & cry & I was without a doubt yelling at your kindle at the end due to the idiotic choices of one character. Seriously? What?  Why? We also got to see some of my favorites from the Brutal Boys series & I loved those moments.

This is another amazing book by these authors & I cannot wait for the next one!

Well I gave myself a week to read this and finished it in 1 day. I couldn't stop reading it. I just had to know what happened next and now I don't get to know because book 4 isn't out yet. The amount of times that their problems could be solved by COMMUNICATING with each other and just killing the bad guy that is right there in their face was infuriating. I just wanted to throw my phone so many times. Just..... ugh!!!! F U C K I N G SHAWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so mad :(

I am pretty disappointed that the end ended up being
Spoiler Rogue being a damn martyr. But I guess it fits her personality type and given her trauma and past - it makes sense. It just irritates me.

So just like every reverse harem series I read ---- this book I think Chase stole my heart. Each book has been a different boy so far. They each are so great although I could pummel Fox into the ground right now for how he acted throughout this book.

Favorite moments:

"Yeah. I'm gonna put a bullet in Shawn Mackenzie's fucking skull at last." "Shit, baby, you really know how to get me hard. Can you do it close range so I can fuck you while you're still splattered with his blood?"

“I’m sorry I can’t get you out of here,” I whispered to her and she squeezed my fingers. “Oh sweet boy,” she sighed. “Life is too short to be sorry for things that aren’t your fault.” (Oh Miss Mabel)

Tatum’s moans started building to a crescendo and the guy looked over at the water with heat in his eyes. “We all good? Because I’ve gotta go make her moan louder than that to prove whose cock she prefers.” (loved the cameos from our Everlake boys!!)

❝ I sat upright, replaying them in my mind and wondering how I was supposed to explain what I felt for JJ to him. What I felt for Rick and Fox and him too. They were my boys, and I was their girl, but I was also the cause of so much bad for all of them. ❞

That ending can go get fucked! Honestly, why the hell was that necessary? Its the first time I'm wanting to really smack some real sense into Rogue. I mean wtf. I keep wanting her to grow and start getting the upper hand on Shawn, but she just plays right to him. Its frustrating as fuck.

Chase though has got my ass in a complete 180, my boy carried this damn book on his fucking back!! And imo his part wasn't even as big as it should have been. There was a time I would have sacrificed him into a volcano, but now? I WILL FUCKING DIE FOR HIM.

Fox is breaking my heart. Because I can see him trying so fucking hard, but it's just not mathing in his head. Everything that happened with him at the end had me in tears.
