Spoiler This is a stunning finale that broke me. Oscar going blind, becoming isolated from himself, the family, the community, only to be beaten to death by an angry ghost with the leg of a broken chair, good Lord. The entire town just moving on from the family as time passes? The Caskey line, a family I have been following for like 30 hours, ending because everyone married off? Wow. Francis briefly returning to land, the oil industry taking off, the sad death of Sister at the wedding - every event here was done with poise and grace, and although the entire series is a soap opera, it's also a moving soap with some great conclusions. Finishing this made me feel like I had finished some great project, some abandonment of a family I've been with for years. And I have, I think. I started this series in spring 2021 probably, right? Maybe earlier? Wow. Goodbye, Caskeys.

I loved being a member of the Caskey family! That’s how I felt anyway. Now only if I could get written into a will. Lol
This story spans from 1919 to 196? Loved it all although I’m not quite sure I would consider it horror, definitely had some gruesome and creepy moments, but not a lot. I listened on audible and the narration was great!
