Behold! The master at the craft! A re-read (highly unusual for me)reminds me of just how clever and funny Dame Agatha was. Just about the best mystery ever written. Huzzah!

Many, many years ago I read dozens of Agatha Christie’s novels. Here’s what put a stop to that: I began marking the page where I felt for sure that I knew who the murderer was. And that began to happen earlier and earlier in the books. I felt like it was all a bit of a game, a game I was winning too easily, and so I just gave up. But recently having watched some of the 1974 film directed by Sidney Lumet — a film I have seen a number of times, and which is far superior to the 2017 version — I was tempted to try the book again. I was not disappointed. Even though I knew the story well, and could easily imagine the brilliant Albert Finney as Hercule Poirot with an all star cast, it was a thoroughly enjoyable story. Highly recommended.

What a crazy train. It seems like everyone on this train has motive to kill the dude. They are all connected in some way and you have to sift through the bull crap that is thrown at you. The author has weaved a complex mystery that I didn't see coming.

Intriguing and engaging, Murder on the Orient Express was certainly a fun read. The characters were, mostly, likable and those who weren't were, at least, interesting. That having been said, there were a lot of...old world stereotypes throughout the novel...that were a little bit uncomfortable.

This was a reread for me and I remembered the ending, so big surprise as far as who dunnit. I still loved it though. It's great to see how Poirot comes up with the solution.

A delight. Have seen the Ustinov and Branagh film versions, but never read this - or any Christie, really. Witty and quick and inventive and I can see why Christie was immensely popular. Will definitely be reading other of her books.

I thoroughly enjoyed this and am glad I got a copy before I could only get one with the movie cover. Anyhow, I remember reading an Agatha Christie book or two in high school and I just never got into them, well, this book has changed everything. It was enjoyable and tested my critical thinking skills. It is humorous and intelligent and so much fun. Great entertainment.
