The premise was good but this book could’ve done with being about 40% shorter. Soooo drawn out with not enough happening until near the end when suddenly the pace changed and everything was rushed through. Gave up and ended up skimming through to the end.

I would say about 4 1/2 stars not quite 5 but boy did I enjoy this!! It was the full heart clenching romance a girl needed, a story of Alison and Dan. Alison and Dan had it all as teens but it all quickly falls apart. The entire story, the full enrapture of love and how true love can never truly escape is truly captivating and I can say I really did love this book! The last half of the book I could not put it down! Recommend to anyone needing a bit of love in their lives at the moment!

Nice love story. Other than the main characters, the others all felt very 2D plot devices.

I just couldn't get into this book but I can't quite put my finger on what it was exactly. I think it had great potential, hence the 2 stars rather than 1, as the ideas were good, but it seemed to jump around a lot and I couldn't really connect with any of the characters.

The idea of using a mix tape and songs to reconnect with an old flame is an interesting one and that's what grabbed me about this book, but the story itself I don't think played enough into it. I got about one-third of the way through and frankly I was a little bored. I was listening to it on audiobook so maybe it was the narration but I didn't want to know what happened next.
