Alice in Wonderland reimagination. I like how Oakes utilizes elements of the theme into the story. Cards being sectors and specific roles within the kingdom. I found the reimagination of the Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat to be well-done. It is interesting how she converges some elements that Alice experienced with that of the Princess of Hearts. I can definitely see many of Lewis Caroll's Wonderland in here.
Are Wardley or Vittiore to be trusted? What actually happened to the Queen of Hearts? Did she actually die, or was she murdered? Kidnapped?

I liked the different take on the traditional version of Alice in Wonderland. However, I really struggled to care about what happened to any of the characters and the pacing was off with random time skips.
Graphic: Child abuse, Emotional abuse, Physical abuse, Torture, Grief, and Sexual harassment
Moderate: Confinement and Infidelity
