Not for me… I listened to the audiobook and that allowed me to keep going, it would have been tough to read. The characters were so disturbing and unlikable that even though I found the stories interesting I kind of couldn’t wait for them to be over.

I really liked some stories but I thought that others weren't really going somewhere. The sexual details were a bit too much for me and sometimes even disturbing.

Sometimes collections of short stories can be hit or miss, but in this case I enjoyed all of them (though obviously some more than others). The first three stories (The Cowboy Tango, Acknowledgements, and Souterrain) were the strongest in my opinion. Acknowledgements in particular is my personal favorite for its clever use of PoV and nods to metafiction.
