Un libro entretenido, pero después de haber leído Flores Cortadas, está muy difícil que cualquier otro libro de la autora lo supere.

Will Trent and Sara Linton are together again in this exciting thriller full twists, secrets, and shocking surprises you won’t see coming. On a hot summer night, a scientist from the Centers for Disease Control is grabbed by unknown assailants in a shopping center parking lot. One month later, Sara Linton, medical examiner, is similarly abducted. Will and the entire Georgia Bureau of Investigation are desperate to save them.

Wow. I’m going to echo another review I saw for this book much too late. BEFORE you start this book, make sure you have the next day or so of your schedule cleared. You won’t be able to put it down (or stop listening to it). I listened to this audiobook (16.7 hours) in a 24-hour span. I nearly left my wallet at the grocery store because I was so engrossed in Will Trent and Sarah Linton’s latest story. The book takes place in August 2019 (ironic huh?) and the plot was believable within the United State’s current political climate. I don’t want to give too much away. Just know I HIGHLY recommend all the books in the grant county and Will Trent series, but especially this one.

Dear Karin Slaughter,

When is the next book coming out??? I am dying to read the next one.

Man, I love Will Trent books. This one starts by recounting the opening events from each of the three main characters' perspectives, switching by chapter, which was very cool. The book switched perspective every chapter the whole way through, but it was fun to read the main characters' interpretations of the same events as they occurred at the beginning. As far as the plot, it's actually surprising that this book wasn't written after January 6th, 2021. This book separated its leads a lot more than in the past, which amplified the urgency and tension of the plot, but I did miss them all interacting with each other, because Slaughter does such a consistently superb job with their character development. I'm really looking forward to continuing this series and reading everything else Karin Slaughter has ever written.

Love these characters and the picture of white supremacists was very realistic. The replay of certain time windows from different points of views was a little annoying because of the redundancy. Still....a great book in this series.

RATING: 4.5 STARS
2019; William Morrow/HarperCollins Canada

I impatiently wait for the next Karin Slaughter book, and then panic when it comes out. Should I read it right away and be without another Slaughter book, or wait to read it, and not be reading a guaranteed winner? This is a tougher choice than you may think. Ask a bookworm/nerd/addict and they will understand the struggle. Soooo I waited about two months and then NEEDED to read it. Of course, The Last Widow did not disappoint. Almost from the beginning the book starts with a bang and poor Will and Sara are in the thick of it! When Sara gets abducted by a gang of baddies, Will goes undercover to help rescue her. There is a lot happening in this novel and it moves at a quick pace so when you finish this book you may need a nap. If you have not read Slaughter before, PLEASE start with [b:Blindsighted|21718|Blindsighted (Grant County, #1)|Karin Slaughter|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1390283925l/21718._SY75_.jpg|2590340] or one of her standalone novels. A must read series and book!
