Honestly, I thought the story was rather dull and predictable. Or rather, the heroine was really dull. She had she moment of strength at the beginning but then she was only ever seen giving into her emotions, aka hooking up with Ardan (aka Irish). At least when she was with him, she had a saucy side. I get that the author was trying to have a different kind of heroine. Not the normal, stubborn, obstinate, and sassy kind Fernando seems to overuse. That's really why I round my rating up, I am glad to get something different. However, it just wasn't well done. Perhaps, because it was a novella, and there was less time to develop the character? I don't know. That even sound like a weak defense. I don't need my romance book heroines to be super feminists or anything close to it, but this heroine was close to spineless in her role as girlfriend. I like alpha male characters, but I don't generally like how the dynamics of the two characters' relationship. It was perfectly fine for Ardan to not mention anything about his life, but they get into a fight over whether _____ disclosed information about her life. The issue was even compounded by the fact that ____ is supposed to have just run away from a controlling ex. I just wanted impressed with her. She could have stood her ground without being like every other heroine in this series, and considering her abusive past, I would've expected her to. It just shows that she never really recovered from her time with her ex, and it makes me think her relationship with Ardan will be a complete failure (not to mention how the book ends with Ardan hiding a big factoid about the big climatic moment from _____, in a means of "protecting" (aka not thinking she can handle it) her (note: I wouldn't have complained about this part if it weren't for all the stuff I mentioned previously being part of the book too)).

This book basically just gets points for trying to be a bit different, and for it's short amusement. Otherwise, it was a disappoint in character development, characters in general, and predictability.

Of course the most enjoyable one in the series so far with the best characters/plot is the novella aka not long enough.

Irish and Valentina.
Valentine, or Tina as she is called is on the run from her abusive ex.
Irish is amazing in this book.
He is all about Tina, there are no references or scenes of other women.
It's a short story but feels complete.
Secondary characters from the previous books in series.
HEA.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.

Valentina "Tina" Sullivan left her abusive boyfriend and moved away. She hopes he will never be able to find her. Six months later while at a bar in her new town she meets a sexy Irish man named Ardan. Ardan aka Irish is a member of the Wind Dragons MC. Romance soon follows and Tina finds love, peace, and safety when she wasn't sure she ever could. But her past isn't done with her yet and comes back with a vengeance. Will Irish be able to keep his Old Lady safe?

I thought this was a really good story. It made for an enjoyable read. It was fun and sexy, a light, fast paced story.

I found Irish entertaining, he was an interesting character. I thought Irish and Tina were great, I never totally felt their connection, but I definitely liked them together. There were some exciting, hot times mixed in which added a nice bit of heat. On occasion I thought a few parts were a bit cheesy but they had me laughing. There was some light drama but nothing major.

Here’s the deal: I enjoyed the story. Nothing that blew me away but I liked it. It made me smile and I thought it was a good addition to the series. It made for a nice afternoon read. However a lot of times I felt I was being told, not shown. I found it very surface and was disappointed that I didn’t learn anything major about Irish. I've read the other books in the series so I was really excited to get to know more about him. He's super sweet and I like him, but that was about it. I did like Tina and the strength she gained. I always like to see a character grow.

This story made for a fun couple of hours. If you like the Wind Dragons MC series, give it a go! It will definitely leave a smile on your face. :-)

It's been quite a while since I last dived into the world of the Wind Dragon's MC, and I had missed it so much that I decided I would spend a week binge-reading by way to catching up with what I had missed. That had me starting with book #3.5: Dirty Ride.

I've been looking forward to Irish's book since I first started this series; he's always been one of my favourite characters so I'm so glad he got his chance at a HEA, and with a cool chick who looks like Merida from Brave? Even better! I wish it had been longer (this is a novella, just over 100 pages long) so we could get a more in-depth, developed storyline and romance. It felt quite rushed being so short.

That aside, I'm excited to be back in the world of the Wind Dragons MC, and I couldn't jump into the next book quick enough! No, really, I read it the very next day.

ARC received via Netgalley for an honest review

Chantal Fernando's Wind Dragons series are the books that got me back into reading the MC genre (which has become completely oversaturated lately) and I impatiently wait for each new book in the series.

This novella was a great, quick, sexy read. Irish has kind of been in the background in the series, so I loved getting to know a bit about this adorable man. Yes, adorable biker man.

I loved the spark between Irish and Tina, right from the get go. Like the alpha biker he is, He saw. He wanted. He got. Loved him in super protective mode!

This was a quick read, but it was enough - maybe just enough - to tide me over until the next full length book in the series.

3.5 Irish Stars

ARC kindly provided via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Not really sure what to say about this one. I was intrigued straight away by the prologue of this book. No-one deserves to put up with any form of abuse from their partner - or from anyone at all for that matter.

With Tina starting anew and meeting Ardan at the bar, you just knew straight away that with him being a biker this would be an interesting story, coupled with what she was running from. Tina and Ardans relationship seems to move fairly quickly and I feel like things could've been explained a bit better, instead of it just moving so fast.

I haven't watched the complete series of Sons of Anarchy, but I've watched the first couple of seasons, and I couldn't help but think of them when Ardan was talking about the club, being all badass biker, or they were actually at the club itself with the other members and old ladies.

I love the badass biker side of things and I really did like Ardans character. I also loved how Tina realised that none of what happened to her was her fault. People like Darren are the ones with the problem and in the end it was an interesting outcome.

The epilogue makes me wonder if what Ardan told Tina is going to come back and bite him in the Arse, so it actually makes me want to read this series. This was my first Chantal Fernando book, so I'd be interested to read the first couple and then continue on with the ones that come after this one as well.

A quick read with some quirky characters. Would recommend.

Hot Biker -- Damaged Heroine -- Insta-Love

I enjoyed this one, but wasn't really blown away by it. I wonder if the fact he didn't tell Tina
Spoiler about killing Darren is going to come into play in later books??
