What a crashing letdown from the epic Commonwealth Saga.
The misadventures of the WaterWalker were a chore to read through. The shift from distant future and star destroying technology to medieval abracadabra hand waving was jarring. Those parts veer too much into the fantasy genre for my taste.
Araminta or even Kazimir should have been the protagonists. They are much more interesting and real. Who gives a fig about dream people and dream cult. NOBODY.CARES.
Where are Nigel, Ozzie, Mellanie. Bring them back!
Gore is my spirit animal. I feel vindicated by his speech in the last pages. Stupid twist, time travel. Rick and Morty did it much better. rolls eyes

I was wondering where the SI went. It only makes a brief appearance in the last 100 pages. I hope the next book expands on it.Gore is my spirit animal. I feel vindicated by his speech in the last pages. Stupid twist, time travel. Rick and Morty did it much better. rolls eyes

A good continuation of Dreaming Void, but it didn't feel like the plot moved forward an awful lot.

Another solid outing in the Commonwealth Universe. My only gripe with this book, and the reason for the 4 star (shocking from me, I know) is the Dream chapters REALLY DRAG this go around. They just covered stuff I really didn't care about and found myself not really paying much attention to what was going on. However, the main story was great with lots of action, revelations, and great character moments and callbacks. Excited to close this trilogy out.

An excellent part 2. I really like this universe and the people in it.
