As long as you can suspend your belief in how 27, 19, and 22 year old people act, it’s a nice romance. Friends to lovers to enemies to lovers. Rinse and repeat? Somehow the roommate is the most mature person in the book. Anyway, if you like power tropes where everyone is consenting ages (from an old lady who’s read too many bully high school romances), it’s a spicy, fun book. I probably won’t finish the series though.

I did NOT enjoy this -- I literally had to force myself to finish it. One of the characters, attempts to rape the protagonist, but yet she continues to be friends with him. This encounter is totally swept under the rug, which bothered me throughout the book. Furthermore, I was not a fan of the writing, and the whole book was somewhat cringey.

WOW is all I can actually say right now 😅
My friend got me this book as a birthday present and she knows how much I love spicy romances but OMG this was something else!
Not only is this book surrounded on forbidden romance but also a Professor/student romance…I mean how hot is that! 🥵
I love Professor James Hunter so much! His character is sexy, handsome, possessive, dominant and so many other sexy traits. Yes he has many dark secrets that still need to be told but! I love a dark, handsome mysterious sexy man 😉
As for Penny I just love her personality. To be fair I see a little of myself in her. I prefer to sit and eat ice-cream while watching movies in my cosy clothes then got to parties 😅.
I did like how Ivy not only showed the sexy parts but also the consequences, the doubting, the heartbreak and every other ugly thing you can think of.
I loved her best friend Melissa, she had me smirking through the whole book!
And Tyler it’s just a pure gem, if I was in college and he was the first guy I saw in the coffee shop, I would date him straight away 😉
The whole story of the book had a mixture of emotions from sexy and hot to heartbreak and pain. But then finished the book in a way of questioning the audience on what they think may happen.
Either way I know I will definitely be picking up the second book since I devoured this book and can’t wait to see their journey continue! x

I loved this book! This book was so steamy and had such a good plot. Only thing I didn’t like was how the main character would always jump to conclusions, she was annoyingly stubborn and impulsive. Other than that, it was great. “Temptation” ended on a cliff hanger so I need the next book asap.
