This wasn't very good, nowhere near as good as Marsh King's Daughter.

I was actually going to give it 3-stars but it just got worse towards the end. The characters and stories were so underdeveloped, completely predictable, and just a terribly written book. It felt like a teenage wrote it.

What a waste of time.

I found this book almost too predictable, but it was an interesting look into psychopathy from the family around a person with no empathy. I’m baffled as to why the therapist never commented on the parents’ deaths, though. I’ve been bothered by that plot hole since I finished the novel. I just feel like if you’d been murdered right after you tell your therapist you want your psychopath daughter committed, that therapist would talk to the police about it.

Predictable but enjoyable.
