I just couldn't finish this. I was so bored. The writing itself was excellent however, the story disappeared under all the descriptions of every little thing. It's easy to see where this all comes together, but it just couldn't hold my attention enough to get past the constant barrage of trying to create each scene. As well as, I think Bailey's part in the story (especially with Melissa) was extremely tacky.

I love the writing of Fiona Davis. Everything I've read from her has been fantastic. Her characters are rich, the plots always interesting, and the history appropriate. This book is no different. You will figure out most of the "mystery" long before you finish, but there is enough of a denouement to make it worth-while. The story was terrific anyway.

Historical fiction has never been one of my favorite genres, but I feel like maybe in the past I have just not been finding the right books. The Address flowed seamlessly back and forth from one century to the other, with equally compelling storylines. I liked how towards the end everything turned sideways and upside down, with some unexpected turns in the path you thought you were on.

I could have done without Bailey still hoping for a relationship with Melinda in the end. Melinda shows what type of person she is literally from the get go.

Also, come on Sarah.
