This eased up on the tension, which was exactly what we needed.

I really loved that beginning, too. It was silly but I felt like there was a lot to learn about the characters and story.

I love that she made him a shrine. You don’t even know how much I fangirled over that. He was so happy and I was so happy for him!!! Drunk yato: I’m gonna make hiyori the happiest girl in the whole world. (Because she made his life dream)

YOU CANT END IT LIKE THIS ANYMORE AUTHOR. I’M GONNA HAVE A HEART ATTACK.

Yato's expression when Hiyori made him a shrine is pure cinnamon roll.

So the funny thing about spending most of your time as a ghost but still having a functional body lying around? Less honorable minor deities can just pop into it and make your previously stellar reputation...less so. But thankfully, teenagers and adults jaded by so much interaction with teenagers just chalk it up as a rebellious phase and NOT an entirely different person taking the small meat robot on a joyride.

And despite that massive invasion of privacy (and tarnishing of character), the bond between tracksuit god & young high school girl grows stronger, with a touching gift actually helping the hobo elevate his status to at least be recognized by other divine muckity-mucks. And thanks to all the talking-with-their-fists in the last volume, there's considerably less animosity between him and the angry warrior goddess.
SO OF COURSE WHEN THE GOOD STUFF HAPPENS, SOMETHING *MUST* KICK HIM DOWN.
In this case, the bum's mysterious family!

A more laid back volume than previous ones, but a little on the slow side at parts. Probably because they're setting up for the next big event, but certain chapters and scenes where there was heavy exposition weren't as well paced as previous volumes.

Not a bad volume, though. Ebisu's introduction was interesting and I definitely want to learn more about him, and Hiyori making Yato a shrine was so damn sweet and lovely my heart damn near burst. Also, loved seeing Yukine step up his game and work towards becoming a good guide to Yato. Yukine has gone through some great character development and this is a shining example of it!

Overall, a really good volume, if not a little slow in parts.
