Funny.

Just like with the last book in this series, my attention was distracted quite often. The book didn’t keep me hooked, but I was definitely laughing all over the place.

Max Monroe pulled off the impossible! I didn’t think there was any way I’d end up liking Cap, but this book proved me wrong. He’s an absolute douchenozzle in the first 2 books of this series, but he pulls up with some major character development in this one. This could have been a rehash of Thatch & Cassie, but they stepped it up with a likable heroine. I enjoyed Ruby’s character. I thought she was one of the most down to earth characters they have created. Overall, a great book.

Laugh out loud hilarious! Book three in the Billionaire Collection (each can be read as a stand alone) features one of our favorite loud mouthed, confident, known playboys, Caplan Hawkins. He doesn't believe in 'One true love.' He is fiercely determined to be playing the field until the end of time. Never wanting to 'settle' down with just one woman.... but then he meets Ruby. A beautiful (though she may not realize how attractive she is,) smart, strong, independent, witty woman. She doesn't fall for his charm and isn't afraid to put him in his place. Things go well between them (in a platonic way) yet he is enjoying the challenge of getting her in his bed. Of course once he gets his way, he becomes the biggest idiot, but eh, whatcha expect from someone who has never been in a relationship. He may have one of the brightest minds when it comes to law, but he is totally out of his element with matters of the heart. There is so much humor throughout the entire book. Even if you are unfamiliar with the series, or the guest cast of characters, you will love and appreciate what they each bring to the story. Many of my favorite bits were when the men started the book club! All these men sitting around talking about women and how to get (and keep) them.... while reading some romance novels. ;) The book is, obviously, fun and light hearted. Easy to read. Hard to put down. Quick paced. Well written. There is some steam. It alternates between POV.

*I received an ARC of this book.

Loved Cap! When I met him in the Billionaire Boss Next Door I knew I needed more of him, he was just too funny. Plus I always love a good ladies man/player who's really a softy when he meets the right girl. It was so rewarding to get Cap's story. 💛

And even though I started this book entirely for Cap, Ruby was such a fun, respectable, together character that I also quickly found myself falling for her too. I'm not really a fan of flighty, damsel in distress, or manic-pixie-dreamgirl type women characters so Ruby was so refreshing (because she was all the opposite of that!). Their meet cute was amazing and I was hooked on Ruby immediately from there.

I also fell a little in love with Liz, Cap's assistant. There may only be two women in the world who can manage Cap and Ruby may be the ultimate, but Liz is the OG and I stan.

And of course, the friendship of the boys in the bookclub was a delight... We got a sweet romance for Cap and Ruby and everyone's favorite bromance from the boys. And that reconciliation/resolution scene..!! 😍 Absolute swoon.

This book just made me happy.

book after book i cant get enough, Ruby and Cap are so damn awesome. Cap is the play boy who thinks all his friends are silly by being committed and in relationship. Cap was so so intense about not getting into a relationship and well that all changes when ruby comes along , i love love watching players fall to a girl they think is just " a fling" . Ruby put cap in a place he was not comfortable with, all i can say is please please go read this book.

That's it. I'm invested. I officially need to read all of the contemporary romance Billionaire Collection from Max Monroe. The last audio book sorta killed it for me because I couldn't stand the narrator's voice. This one, though, was a totally different experience. Great narration and I laughed out loud throughout almost the entire freaking thing.

Caplin Hawkins is the ultimate player and an insanely successful corporate lawyer. He has mocked every one of his buddies as they've fallen in love and is the least likely human to ever settle down. When he meets law student Ruby Rockford, he meets his match. This woman doesn't take any shit. She gives as good as she gets and Cap isn't going to pull any punches with her. His usual tactics don't work and he's going to have to work incredibly hard to get her. In fact, he's created a billionaire book club with his buddies so they can read these romance novels she loves so much and learn how to woo her. As he works hard to romance Ruby into bed with him, Cap changes his ways little by little. But can you ever really change a player?

I can't believe I enjoyed this as much as I did. While the character arc might have been a bit extreme, I enjoyed this and wanted the happy ending I knew I'd get. Cap was such a freaking tool in this and all the books, but man, he was hilarious.
