My most recent read of this book was in audio format, and as OSC himself claimed, the format added to the experience. I rooted for Ender because he was resilient, and rueful, and relatable and so exceptional that even for all that battle and command school put him through, I still found myself wanting to be in his shoes. The story forces its audience to examine the choices they make, both selfish and sacrificial. On a technical level, the military prowess displayed sets the bar intimidatingly high for any author with a genius protagonist. I’ll definitely want to reread this book in a physical format so that I can annotate.
