Ended up being unintentionally pertinent to the state of the world in the time I was reading it. I would like to reread this sometime with more background but as a story I enjoyed it. I thought each character was distinct and fleshed out.

A throwback of Jewish literature, intentionally, I'm quite sure. Mostly listened to the (very well-produced) audiobook on long runs and laughed out loud on empty streets at dawn a few times.

sadly way too hard to get into... the thesaurus was thriving for this one. your eyes get blurry trying to get it through it but there's a lot hiding behind the unnecessarily complex vocab.
