This was awful. I hate both of these characters so much I was really hoping they would both die. She is a childish brat who literally stomps her foot and throws a fit every other page if she doesn't get her way. No care at all if her actions bring harm to herself or others. While he is a freaking RAPIST. The first time they hooked up she was like "if I had tried to stop him, I wouldn't have been able to anyway so I just went with it." Um.... what? Honey you were all about it. Stop making excuses. HOWEVER, the second time was RAPE. He was drunk, pissed, physically hurting her, and holding her down. She left crying. No. Just no. This book was terrible.

This book has quite a bit of "the lady doth protest too much"…about everything. This is one of those books where the heroine is set up to be an independent tomboy who wears trousers and can handle herself with a bow and yet needs saving at almost every turn. And, of course was never grateful to be saved even though she had been in danger of losing her life. Triona is actually quite annoying which is a pity because the set up of this book and Ronan, the male protagonist, could have actually made for a decent book.

What a rollercoaster ride!

So many twists and turns! I loved the characters, the banter between them, and the descriptions of the scenery (especially when Triona and Ronan go boar hunting). I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Hmmm I was torn on this one. I really loved the characters and the story but I wasn't so thrilled when Ronan forces himself on Tiona at one point.

This is a well written romance that was fun to read.

Epic Adventure and Bold Passion

Ronan was a legend among men…and the last thing he needed was a troublesome woman. Yet this fierce Irish warrior took a deathbed oath to protect a chieftain’s rebellious daughter.

Triona was a hellion of a woman…who would let no man rule her. Raised in the ways of a warrior, she defied Ronan’s every command. So he planned to marry her off, to be rid of the wild lass forever. But in the heat of battle—enflamed by her passionate spirit—Ronan decided he wanted this beautiful, impossible woman for himself.
