This book was a great lesson and reminder for mindfulness and slowing down. However, it did it in a cute and engaging way that would get students attention. I enjoyed reading it and took it as a challenge for myself.

Cute book that teaches children how to manage anger

This book does a great job demonstrating how young ones can move through hard feelings, when they experience an innocent, low-impact slight. However, if the hurt is deeper, or reflected in societal dynamics of power, this book wouldn't be a good example of how children can feel & respond to the impact they experience. This book doesn't also model a meaningful apology.
