So here I am, trying to write a review after recovering from the ending of this trilogy. I didn't know I would enjoy it THIS much, but I'm glad I do.

The last book's ending kept me on the edge of my seat, and this book did not disappoint. My heart aches for Severin, but also Laila, Zofia, Enrique, Hypnos, and yes, Eva. AND I MISS GOLIATH. But okay. I'm glad they end the series with something quite grand but still realistic (as realistic as it can be in a fantasy series), and how everyone's dilemma is solved, as much as it can be solved. They left a tiny opening for a sequel (or prequel, both I'd love to read), but also quite satisfactory as the final ending.

And we can see the growth of Roshani Chokshi as a writer and how the series goes. I really liked her way of storytelling and writing; now I might continue Aru Shah just because... I miss Aru, and I miss my four pm analogies.

4,5 stars.

Great conclusion to The Gilded Wolves trilogy. Those last chapters are going to hurt me forever if I think too hard about it.

This book was a great ending to the series. It did leave me crying, but it was happy tears. This is the final book of the series where Severin, Laila, Zofia, Enrique, and Hypnos is tested. First they needed to figure out of Severin could still be trusted because he left them on a bad note especially Laila because she loves Severin, but she also wants to have stability. She not only wants stability with Severin, but also her life, but as each day goes by she has days left to live before she is gone. Though Severin pleaded that he can be trusted, but he has that hunger in his eyes that scares him all because he has the ability to claim godhood. But first they must find the temple where the lyre can be played, which is a small island from Venice. Overall the pace of the book was excellent and I loved that Enrique was able to find his calling in the world because at first he was not accepted because of the color of his skin along with his background. I will for sure reread this series again.

Highly recommend this series for any history nerds who love a good fantasy series and those who though Six of Crows could do with even more Jesper (if you know, you know)

Omg this made me cry and I was. If expecting that at all. The last 80 pages were so emotional to me. It was giving clockwork princess.

I had no clue where any of this story was going, but I was gagged multiple times. I loved the characters and just their interactions. The relationships are so good and heartwarming. The ending of this is not at all what I expected. I enjoyed the plot of the second one, but the character interactions more in this one. The first one is still the best. I just love the different histories and myths we learn about.
