Becky Chambers did it again. I'm not even surprised, just impressed. And a bit sad to be nearing the end of the series. I love that she wrapped things up for us at the end. What a fascinating ride she's taking us on through these loosely connected people living in the same world. I can't wait to read the next one...but I can...because I don't want to leave the series yet.

The way she gave us glimpses into the human exodus past and present, even into the future, and through multiple points of view - including an alien POV! It's masterful.

Love love love this world. I love how we get the history of humans in this one. There were too many character POVs imo. Still loved it.

Becky Chambers does a fantastic job of writing stories that are not about the plot and all about the people. And I love them. Each character is unique and you care about them for very different reasons. But it all works together to really give you a look into this society and how everyone has a role whether they know it or not.

I was ambivalent about this for much of my reading. The writing is beautiful, the characters well-developed and intriguing. But I kept waiting for something to happen, and it never did. So for me it wasn't as satisfying a read as the first two in the series, which had more of a plot. But then at the end it came together, and suddenly I felt immensely satisfied by the whole thing.

I just adore this book so much, I love the slow exploration of the Exodus fleet, and I do desperately want to live there

This one moved a little slowly for me, but I loved the characters, and the world building was phenomenal.
