I am loving this series! It has everything I enjoy in a cozy series and almost none of the things that tend to annoy me.

First off, I am a bit obsessed with New Orleans. Love everything about it, from the way they talk, to the Southern manners, to the laid-back approach to life and the food - lawdy, y'all! The food!! So having this series set there, and the authors peppering in lots of local N'Awlins flavour is a big plus for this reader.

The setting of the Mansion where people come to have mystical or supernatural experiences is also a fun feature of this series.

The characters - both the main, and the supporting folks in this world are just a hoot and a half! Everyone is "a character" and they are all fun and delightful!

The mysteries in this series - so far - are well done and appropriate for a cozy mystery. Nothing too violent, but a nicely plotted, well thought-out mystery to solve.

This is becoming a favourite series for me. I've already bought book 3 and look forward to continuing to visit this world. Definitely recommended if you like cozies, and have a "thang" for New Orleans.
